Starlink internet – Need approval from DoT India

Elon Musk Company SpaceX need a proper license from the (DoT) Department of Telecommunication in India before offering internet service to Indian customers. Government has no issue with the company but the government want to ensure that the company explain its plan for India before stepping into the Indian market.

Internet service for Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Nigeria, Tanzania as well as the rest of the African countries will be available in the next year 2022. Right now company users are increasing with the expansion of the network.

Speed of Starlink broadband

According to the latest news company has launched 1800 satellites in orbit. The company claims that it providing internet broadband speed between 50 Mbps to 150Mbps which is expected to double soon to 300Mbps. Speed test is done by different users reported on the internet that average speed is 40-45Mbps.

Elon Musk says in reply to one of question about mobility on Twitter that “yeah, should be fully mobile later this year, so you can move it anywhere or use it on an RV or truck in motion. We need a few satellite launches to achieve complete coverage and some key software upgrades”.

According to media news currently, beta service is available in parts of the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and other 11 countries.
